Hear tons of up-and-coming artists at the Identity Festival.
You may have just realized that summer is already halfway over, and you haven’t done anything really cool like attend a fun festival. You can still remedy that by checking out some summer events that will take place close to your Dallas apartment.
Fret not if you just missed the Last Summer on Earth tour; you can hear artists like Nero and other up-and-coming bands at the Identity Festival on August 10 at Fair Park. Plus, don’t miss the last free concerts during the Basically Beethoven Festival at Fair Park’s Texas Discovery Gardens.
Head over to SonsStock 2012 for a music and arts festival that will also feature crafts. This will take place at Sons of Hermann Hall on August 18, noon to midnight, close to your Dallas apartment, and benefit Lodge 66.
One of the most beautiful summer festivals coming up takes place at Lake Lewisville, just outside of Dallas. The Lions Club Balloon Festival and Fair on August 17-19 will feature a stunning sky full of hot air balloons, plus you can pay a small fee to ride on a tethered balloon or on a helicopter ride. Plus, you can see live music, arts and crafts and more.
